Position: Pole Fitness Instructor
I have been training with Northern Pole Dance for many years and qualified as a Pole Fitness Instructor in October 2012.
I have previously trained in ballet and competed nationally as a figure skater, before teaching on ice choreography alongside my university studies. Alongside Pole Fitness, I am focused on cardiovascular fitness and core stability, regularly training in TRX suspension.
Since taking up Pole Fitness, I have been really impressed with the improvements in my upper body strength and tone, along with dramatic improvement in my core and abdominal strength and tone.
I love helping our students achieve the buzz of nailing each new move and seeing their confidence grow. I bring a background in Biomechanics and knowledge of sports injury prevention and treatment to the team, helping all my students to train as safely and successfully as possible.
I have competed in North East Pole Fitness competitions, winning the Advanced category of the Northern Pole Dance competition in September 2012. I have trained alongside Evigeny Greshilov (Men’s World Pole Champion 2012) and Daniel Rosen (UK Professional Pole Champion 2012).
I am also enjoying learning the ropes of corde lisse and aerial silks. When I’m not teaching in the studio, I continue to train and can often be found working on anything that spins!
